Overview 

Dentistry faculty of Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences was founded in 2010. It aims to provide quality dental care services and enhance oral hygiene awareness of people in Kurdistan province. Moreover, the dentistry school wishes to establish and expand international collaborations through admitting international students from all around the world, in particular neighboring countries. Faculty members educate,train and supervise students in different levels of their courses. The students are supposed to finish basic sciences in four semesters, then they enter pre-clinical and clinical stages. The Dentistry faculty is located in the campus of KUMS. It includes two buildings, approximately 8000 square meters.

Mission: 
Our mission is to provide quality education so that graduate students besides sufficient and comprehensive knowledge in up-to-date dentistry, have the skills for visiting patients and treating different kinds of oral and dental diseases.

Vision: 
Dentistry faculty strives to become one the most reputable and recognized faculties of dentistry in the west of the country. All directors, faculty members, staff, and students share experiences and work hard towards achieving this goal through enhancing efficiency of the education system, expanding practical research, and implementing higher standards of education.
